G1,8,9 and G2 Supervisor Course

This training provides the learner with the skills and knowledge required for individuals working in the Resource Sector and are required to undertake the duties of safety and health investigations, risk management and communicate information.

The G1, G8, G9 & G2 competencies allow a person to have authority to supervise workers in a mine site in Queensland’s coal mining industry.

The four units of competency are required for a Mine Site Safety Supervisor in Queensland’s coal mining industry.

Upon the successful completion of this course, participants will obtain a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. Unit of competencies included:

  • RIIRIS301E – Apply Risk Management Processes (G1)

  • RIIWHS301E – Conduct safety and Health Investigations (G8)

  • RIICOM301E – Communicate Information (G9)

  • RIIRIS402E – Carry out the risk management process (G2)

 

The unit RIIRIS301E has been superseded and is not equivalent to the new replacement unit RIIRIS301. We have a 12-month transition time until 01/09/2027 during which we are able to enroll, train and assess students.

A superseded unit means it has been replaced by a newer version which may contain updated skills, knowledge, performance requirements, assessment conditions, or industry expectations to better reflect current workplace practices.

Students who complete this superseded unit may not be eligible for credit transfer to the current unit and may be required to undertake additional training and assessment to meet current competency requirements.
